iConquerMS™ Caregivers and Your Research

Your Source for MS Caregiver Research

iConquerMS Caregivers is a research network for family members and friends who provide care and support for people diagnosed with MS. Our mission is to support the engagement of MS caregivers in research and promote research focused on the needs and interests of MS caregivers.

The network was launched in 2022 by the nonprofit Accelerated Cure Project (ACP) with financial support from the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). iConquerMS Caregivers uses a similar model to the iConquerMS and iConquerMS Kids & Teens networks for adults and youth affected by MS.

Even though unpaid caregivers provide important, even life-saving support to people with MS, research on their role and their needs is limited. The field needs:

  • Investigations into the health and well-being of caregivers
  • Development and testing of techniques for providing for the people they care for
  • Studies about the relationship between the caregiver and the person they are caring for

Caregivers are our partners, too. As an observer of their loved one’s health, behavior, or well-being, caregivers may be the best source of information about a person with MS.
